I made a turkey roll and cover for math and fine motor skills. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper and laminate them. I have included both black and white as well as color patterns for this activity so you have a choice of what to print.
The black and white patterns can be used with any kind of cover ups but we used dot markers. I made blank mats ... numbers 1-6 to be used with one die and numbers 2-12 to be used with two.
For the color mats we used playdough which I purchased from amazon. You can also use buttons or pom poms and I have also included cover up circles that you can cut out and laminate.
In this activity children roll the dice and cover up either the same number of circles if using the blank mat or they cover up the same number on the mat if using the numbered mats. Play continues until all circles or numbers have been covered.
