This week's theme is space which is always lots of fun. I made a space alphabet pick and cover activity for letter recognition and fine motor development. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper ... cut them out and then laminated them.
I made both uppercase and lowercase letter mats along with letter cards. In this activity the children pick a letter card and then cover up the same letter on the leprechaun mat. Play continues until all letter have been covered. You can use glass beads ... playdough ... pom poms ... buttons for the cover-ups. I have also created a black and white version that can be used with dot markers.
As of 2022 this activity can be found in the member's section. which is also where I have added a space fine motor cover-up mat as well as space number sequence puzzles.
