I made snowman alphabet clip cards for letter recognition and review as well as and fine motor development. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper and laminate them. I have included both black and white as well as color patterns for this activity so you have a choice of what to print.
I separated the snowman cards from the snowflake cards and set them out with mini clothes pins. I mixed up the snowman cards and then the snowflake cards so that the letters were not in order. You can have the children do an upper to upper ... lower to lower ... upper to lower ... lower to upper match.
In this activity children pick a snowman and then find the snowflake with the same letter and clip them together with a clothespin (we used mini ones). For self-checking have the children clip the two cards back to back so the letter is visible on both sides.
