We are working on shapes this week and I made five piece shape puzzles for shape recognition and fine motor development. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper ... cut them out and then laminated them. I then cut along the lines so that their were five strips for each puzzle.
I mixed up the puzzle strips before setting them out. The children found put the puzzle strips together to form the shapes. The puzzles come with both faces and no faces so you have a choice as to which to use.
As of 2022 this activity can be found in the member's section which is also where I have added a shape matching activity.

I love the 5 pieces for beginners as they practice learning shape names. I will print as soon as I get some ink :-)
