I made a shamrock shape match this week for shape identification. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper and cut them out and laminated them for durability.
There are ten different shapes and the shape cards come with and without shape names. For each card there six loose shape pieces. All patterns come in black and white as well as color.
In this activity children pick a shape card and put the matching shape pieces on top of the shamrock. You can put as many or as few shape cards out for the children to match. We mix the loose shape pieces so it is more of a challenge for the children to find the correct shape.
