Today we did an activity that worked on both scissor skills as well as fine motor development. The children rolled various colors of playdough into what we call "snake" shapes. They then took scissors and cut the playdough snakes into sections.
When they were done cutting the playdough they sorted through the playdough to find the matching colors and counted how many were in each color group. The final step was to put the playdough pieces back together again. This activity is super easy to set up and you can use either homemade or store bought playdough.
