I love working on visual discrimination with the children and these pencil patterns are perfect for that. I printed two sets of the patterns on cardstock paper ... cut them out and laminated them.
I then mixed the pencils up and set them out in a basket along with some clothespins. You do not have to use clothespins but I like to incorporate fine motor development anywhere I can.
In this activity the children find the two pencils with the same pattern and clip them together with clothespins. Play continues until all of the pencils have been matched.

These are so wonderful! I love the wide variety of designs. The kids would get some good fine motor practice coloring in your blank ones too! Thank you!
