We are winding up our snowman theme this week and one of the things we did was make paper plate snowmen. We kept the process simple using basic shapes and the snowmen turned out so cute!
We used small chinet paper plates as they are thicker and more durable than regular paper plates. We also used white paint ... glue ... construction paper ... and iridescent glitter.
We turned the paper plates over and painted the back with white paint and let it dry. When then painted a second coat and let that dry as well. The next step was to paint a thick layer of glue on the paper plate.
We then sprinkled a generous amount of iridescent glitter over the paper plate and shook of the extra on a piece of construction paper which made it easy to put the excess glitter back in the bottle.
We cut circles out of black construction paper for the eyes and the mouth and glued them on. Next we cut rounded triangles or carrot shapes out of orange construction paper for the nose and glued that on as well.
