We made paper plate rainbows for the final project of our rainbow theme. We started by cutting the paper plate into a cloud shape. We applied glue drops on to the paper plate and pressed cotton balls onto the glue.
We then cut construction paper in to 1 inch wide strips and glued them on to the bottom back of the paper plate. Children used the color sequence guide from when we made our rainbow chains. The next step was to punch a hole at the top of the paper plate and attach a pipe cleaner and twisted the ends closed.
To add extra sparkle we applied glue drops to the cotton balls and construction paper and then sprinkled our jumbo glitter on the glue.
