I made number tracing cards for number identification, pre-writing skills, and fine motor development. You can print the patterns on regular or color cardstock paper.
Cut the number squares out and laminate. I have included black and white as well as color version of the tracing cards. We printed these on color cardstock paper because it added a nice variety and was easy on the ink.
I put the cards out in a basket along with washable markers. I set the basket on table and the children self-selected the cards to trace. They identified the number on the card and traced the dash line with their fingers. They then used the marker to trace the numbers.
