I set up a marble drop for the children to work on their fine motor skills. I went to walmart to purchase marbles but saw these beautiful beads that were the same size as marbles so I decided to use them instead.
My husband drilled holes in the top of a food container (he used an auger bit attached to the drill) ... however if the top of the container is thin enough you should be able to use an exacto knife to make the holes.
The children picked up the marbles and put them into the container by dropping them into the holes. As a math extension they counted how many of each color they put in.
