Who doesn't love ice cream? I made a pick and cover for number recognition and fine motor development. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper ... cut them out and then laminated them.
I made both 0-20 and 0-30 number mats along with number cards. In this activity the children pick a number card and then cover up the same number on the ice cream mat. Play continues until all numbers have been covered. You can use glass beads ... playdough ... pom poms ... buttons for the cover-ups. I have also included cover-up circles.
