The free membership printable this week is a flower pot alphabet match. This is a great activity for letter recognition and review as well as fine motor development. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper ... cut them out ... and then laminated them.
I separated the flower pot from the flowers and cut a slit in the top of each pot for the flower stems to slide through.
I used an exacto knife to make a cut that was slightly larger than the flower stem. I placed the flower stem close to the top of the pot to use as a guide as to how long the cut should be. I used cardboard under the flower pot to protect my work surface.
In this activity the children match pots and flower with the same letters. Children can slide the stems through the pots or simply place the pots on top of the flower stems. Play continues until all the flowers and pots have been matched. You can grab the patterns for free until Sunday May 22nd ... after that they will only be available in the member's section which is also where the flower pot number match is located.
