I made a felt raindrop math activity for our math center. It was really easy to make and I did not use any patterns. One thing I do recommend is a good pair of fabric scissors which made cutting the felt so much easier. I took a piece of dark blue felt and used it as the backdrop for the rest of the pieces.
I cut a sun that would fit in the corner ... grass that would go on the bottom of the background ... a large umbrella ... and eighteen raindrops. I left all of the pieces loose so the children could set the game up themselves.
Children rolled the dice and then removed the same number of felt raindrops on the felt mat. Play continued until all of the raindrops had been removed. We also did it in reverse by rolling the dice and putting the same number of raindrops back on the mat.
