For our bunny theme I made a pick and cover activity which is great for letter recognition and fine motor skills. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper ... cut them out and laminated them.
I mixed the letter cards up so they were not in order and set them out along with the bunny mats and cover-up circles. You can also use playdough or pom poms which are both great for fine motor development.
In this activity children pick a letter card and cover up the same letter on the bunny mat. Play continues until all letters have been covered.
