I made a fine motor apple color clip activity for color recognition and fine motor skills development. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper and cut along the gray line so that there would be a white border around the apples (you can cut along the black border if you wish instead). I then laminated all of the apples.
The apple patterns come in black and white as well as 12 different colors. We used mine clothes pins that I purchased from here. The clothespins are are small so remember to use close supervision with children under the age of three and those still in the stages of putting small items in their mouths.
In this activity children pick and apple and then clip the same color clothespin to the apples. You can turn this into a math activity by writing numbers on the apples and having the children put the same number of clothespins on the apples.
