This week's free membership printable is spring alphabet pick and cover which is great for letter identification. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper and laminated them.
We did this activity with plastic eggs but you do not have to. I put a letter square in each egg and then put the eggs in a basket. We also used scrabble tiles sometimes instead of the letter squares.
In this activity the children picked an egg and opened it. They then identified the letter inside the egg and covered up the matching letter on the mat. If you are not using plastic eggs the children simply pick a letter square and cover the same letter on the mat.
