I made a puppy alphabet sorting activity which is great for letter identification and fine motor development. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper and cut them out and then laminated them.
I attached velcro to the three blank spaces on the puppy cards and on the back of the letter cards. You do not have to use velcro ... you could also use self adhesive magnets and place the puppy card on a metal tray.
I have included both upper and lower case letters as well as black and white and color patterns. The color patterns come in both part color and full color so you have a choice of what to print.
In this activity children pick a puppy card and then place the letter squares that match the letter on the puppy on the blank spaces on the card. Another way we use the cards is to punch a hole in the upper left corner of the cards and attach a book ring so children can flip through the letters and verbally identify them.
