I made penguin fine motor color cards. I printed them on cardstock paper ... cut them out and then laminated them.
I made four different variations of the activity including a large penguin that children can put matching hats and scarves on along with or without the color word strips.
If you are not using the color word strips the children would pick a hat and place it on penguin's head and then find the matching color scarf and place it on the neck.
If you are using the color word strips there is a penguin mat that has a blank rectangle on it that the children would place the strip on and then find the matching color hat and scarf.
There are smaller penguin cards without color names that children can place the same colored objects that match the hat and scarf. We use buttons ... pom poms ... playdough ... and mini clothespins. I also made cards with the color work already written on it and cards where there is a blank space for children to put the color name on.
