The free membership printable this week is Umbrella Alpha Pick and Cover which is great for letter recognition and review as well as fine motor development. I printed all the patterns on cardstock paper and laminated the umbrella mats. I then cut the letter squares and cover-up circles out and laminated them. I attached the letter squares to craft sticks and set them out in a plastic pot.
In this activity children pick a letter square and cover up the same letter on the umbrella mat with a cover-up circle. We also like to use playdough to help with fine motor. Play continues until all the letters have been covered. You can grab the patterns for free until Sunday April 10th ... after that they will only be available in the member's section which is also where the umbrella number pick and cover is located.

I made an umbrella roll and cover game for the children to use in our literacy center. I printed the patterns on regular paper ... cut them out and glued them inside a file folder. I assembled the dice by folding on the lines and making a box shape.
The patterns are blank so that you can use them for the skill sets you are working on whether that is numbers ... letters ... sight words etc.
In this activity children roll the dice and find the matching umbrella. They then put a cover-up circle on that umbrella using the same color circle as the umbrella.
Play continues until all of the umbrellas have been covered. Because there are six sides to a dice and twelve umbrellas each letter ... number ... or sight word is repeated twice in the file folder game.
You can see a video of this activity below:
The free daily printable this week is Umbrella Number Clip Cards which is a great activity for developing for number recognition as well as fine motor skills. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper ... cut them out and laminated them. I put them in a basket along with clothespins and put the basket in our math center.
In this activity children find and clip the same number that is on the umbrella. You can grab the patterns for free until Sunday April 12th ... after that they will only be available in the member's section.
