up a bit and make them easier to pick up I attach self-adhesive magnets to the back of them. Play continues until all cars have been match.
You can grab the patterns here.
I made a car color match to help work on color identification. Just print the patterns out on cardstock paper ... cut them out and laminate them.
I separated the cars from the color circles and set them out on a table. There are twelve different colors in this set.
In this activity children put the color circles on the matching cars. To lift the circles
up a bit and make them easier to pick up I attach self-adhesive magnets to the back of them. Play continues until all cars have been match. You can grab the patterns here.

The free membership printable this week is Car Alphabet Match. This is a great activity for letter recognition and review. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper ... cut them out ... and then laminated them.
I separated the cars and the letter roads into two different piles and made sure the letters were mixed up.
In this activity the children put the cars on top of the road with the same letter. To make this into a sequencing activity children put the letter roads in alphabetical order and then put the cars on top. Play continues until all the cars have been matched. You can grab the patterns for free until Sunday May 8th ... after that they will only be available in the member's section which is also where the car number match is located.
We made sequin cars which is a great project for fine motor development and eye-hand coordination. I traced around the car pattern on a sheet of colored cardstock paper and cut it out. Children cut two circles from cardstock paper for the wheels and also a window shape and glued them onto the car. The last step was to apply glue drops to the car and press on sequins.

I made a can number match activity for the children to work on number recognition and review. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper and cut them out. I glued the car (which comes in six different colors) onto a sheet of colored cardstock paper and cut it down to size. I then laminated all pieces and put magnets on the back of the number circles.
In this activity the children found the two matching number circles and put them on the blank circles on the car. Play continues until all numbers have been matched.

The free daily printable this week is Car Alphabet Sequence Sticks which is a great activity for letter recognition and review. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper and cut them out.
I then glued the cars onto craft sticks and set them out in a container. The patterns come with the cars going in two directions as well as going all the same directions. There are also two different colors for each car.
In this activity children put the car sticks in alphabetical order. If you make two copies of each car you can also do a letter matching activity. You can grab the patterns for free until Sunday April 26th ... after that they will only be available in the member's section.
I made a roll and cover file folder game to go along with our car theme and put it in our math center today. The children really love playing the roll and cover games and you can do different skill sets with them. For this game I used two sets of numbers one through six. Children roll the dice and then find the same number on a car and cover it up with a circle that is the same color as the car. Play continues until all of the numbers have been covered up.
