The free daily printable this week is Pumpkin Number Puzzles which is a great activity for number recognition and review. In this activity children find and put together to the two pumpkin halves with the same number.
I put self-adhesive magnets on the back of the puzzle pieces and put them on a magnetic board. Grab the patterns for free until Sunday October 12th ... after that they will only be available in the member's section.
I found this cute halloween tic tac toe game at Target tonight. It's made out of stiff felt and for you crafters out there it would probably be pretty easy to make.
It's a really nice size so the game pieces are perfect for young children. The game sells for $5 and was found in the halloween decoration part of the store.
We made pumpkin seed counting books in our math center. The patterns come in both black and white as well as color. I printed the patterns on regular paper and assembled the books but you could also let the children cut the pages in half and put the book together.
The children glued the correct number of pumpkins seeds on each of the book pagers. This was also a great activity for fine motor development.
