The free membership printable this week is School Letter Sliders for letter recognition and review. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper and cut them out. I then laminated them for durability.
There are six different sets of letter strips included with the patterns. You have a choice of upper and lower case in order ... upper and lowercase out of order ... mixed upper and lower and non-mixed upper and lower.
In this activity children pull the letter strips through the school cards and identify the letters shown. You will need to slice (I recommend an xacto knife) along the lines on the front of the school cards in order for the letter strips to be inserted.

I made a pencil alphabet activity to work on letter recognition and fine motor development. I print the patterns on cardstock ... cut them out and laminated them. The patterns come in both black and white as well as color.
We used mini clothespins for this activity but you can also use regular sized clothespins. The children sorted the pencils into two piles ... one for uppercase and the second for lowercase letters.
In this activity children children pick a pencil and the find the pencil with the same letter and clip them together. Play continues until all letters have been matched. You can see a video of this activity and download the patterns below.
I made a fine motor apple color clip activity for color recognition and fine motor skills development. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper and cut along the gray line so that there would be a white border around the apples (you can cut along the black border if you wish instead). I then laminated all of the apples.
The apple patterns come in black and white as well as 12 different colors. We used mine clothes pins that I purchased from here. The clothespins are are small so remember to use close supervision with children under the age of three and those still in the stages of putting small items in their mouths.
In this activity children pick and apple and then clip the same color clothespin to the apples. You can turn this into a math activity by writing numbers on the apples and having the children put the same number of clothespins on the apples. I place the letter mat on a metal cookie sheet and then use cover-ups with self adhesive magnets attached on the backs of them. I have included printable cover-ups but you can also use buttons ... pom poms ... or playdough.
I have included apple letter dab and apple letter color sheets. Children can dab or color the apples depending upon which sheet they are working on.
In all activities children pick a letter apple and then find the matching apple on the apple sheet. They will will either dab ... color ... or cover it. Play continues until all apples have been matched.
