I made an apple color match to work on color recognition skills. There are twelve different color apples along with the matching color circles. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper ... cut them out and laminated them.
I put a self-adhesive magnet on the back of each of the color circles as I do with most of my matching and cover-up activities. The magnet helps to raise the circles off the surface making them easier to pick up and they also help hold the apples in place.
In this activity children pick a color circle and put it on the apple with the same color. Play continues until all of the colors have been matched. You can grab the apple color match patterns here.
