The free membership printable this week is schoolhouse alphabet pick and cover which is a great activity for letter recognition and fine motor development. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper and cut the letter squares out and attached them to craft sticks. I also laminated the letter mats.
The children rolled various colors of playdough into small balls and put them in to a dish. If you do not want to use playdough (which is excellent for fine motor development) I have also included cover-up circles.
In this activity children pick a letter stick and cover up the same letter on the mat. Play continues until all of the letters on the mat have been covered up. You can grab the patterns for free until Sunday August 16th ... after that they will only be available in the member's section.
