We are working on shapes this week and I made some puzzles for shape identification. I printed the patterns on cardstock paper ... cut them out and then laminated them and then cut along the dashed lines.
I mixed the puzzle pieces up and set them out in basket. There are three different colors for each shape making a total of 24 puzzles. You can choose to have the children do one set or all three.
In this activity the children find the two halves of the shape puzzle and put them together. Play continues until all shapes have been formed.
As of 2022 this activity can be found in the member's section which is also where I have added a shape alphabet that can be used for sequence and matching activities.
